There are so many Blopps on a website that I do not see the page anymore.

  • You can turn all Blopps on and off by clicking on the Blopps icon in the top right corner of your Firefox.
  • If you are not logged in, you will always see all blopps.
  • Click on the X sign in the Blopp and it will be gone. Blopps will remember that - if you are logged in with your username. When you are blopping as an anon user, it will show up again after refreshing the page.

Will Blopps slow down browsing?

  • No, not at all: Blopps are loaded *after* the webpage has been loaded completely and the amount of data for Blopps is also very small.
  • However, if you have a very old Computer and you visit a webpage with many Blopps, your PC may have to think for a moment when blopps are inserted in the site.

I am unable to find my Blopps, where are they?

  • This can have different reasons:
  • The content of the page or the Website does not longer exist an had been removed.
  • The language of the Website changed (often a parameter like /de/en/ru in the address-bar)
  • The Blopp has been deleted because of a low-rating, abusive-content or spam
  • You clicked on the "x" and the Blopp is permanently hidden when you are logged in your account

How can I change the color of a Blopp?

  • The color of a Blopp will change with the content:
  • Text only: A red Blopp will be created
  • Links: A blue Blopp will show up
  • Image-link: This will create a pink Blopp
  • Image and normal link: This mix will create a yellow Blopp.
  • Private Blopp: Is a green one.

How can I insert an image into a Blopp?

  • Just drag or paste any image-link in a Blopp (e.g.: www.imageshack.us/my_pic.jpeg

Can I change the position of Blopps?

  • Yes: When you create a Blopp on a big element like an image, or when you mark some text and blopp on it, the position will be saved

Why Blopps do not remember their new position after I rearranged them?

  • To make sure that blopps remain where the author wanted them to be, they will get back to their original position after reloading the page. Also some pages may not work propertly with Blopps, because they have too much dynamic content or are based on Adobe Flash.

What is the benefit of registering?

  • After choosing a username you are able to rate other Blopps, and you can delete and edit your own Blopps.

Can I edit or delete my Blopps?

  • Yes, of course. This is possible if you created the Blopp with your logged-in username. It is not possible as an anonymous user because when you are anonymous we simply do not know if and what blopps you created.

Can I post anonymously after registration?

  • Yes. Just go to the blopps menue and click on log-out.
